Obtain Customs Export Permit

To export goods from Singapore, you must first:

1. Register your business 

   • Register with Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), or 

   • Obtain a Unique Entity Number (UEN) from the relevant UEN issuance agency. 

2. Activate your Customs Account 

   • This enables you to apply for export permits and manage Customs transactions. 

How to Apply for an Export Permit 

After activating your Customs Account, you may: 

Option 1: Appoint a Declaring Agent 

You may appoint a declaring agent to apply for permits on your behalf. 

Option 2: Submit Applications Yourself 

You may apply for permits: 

• For your own shipments, or 

• On behalf of your clients.

To do this, you must: 

• Register as a declaring agent, and 

• Obtain a TradeNet user ID. 

Submitting Permit Applications 

All permit applications must be submitted through TradeNet, using either: 

• A TradeNet front-end solution from an approved solution provider, or 

• The Government Front-End Application.

If you appoint a declaring agent, note that they may charge additional service fees. Check with your agent directly to confirm the applicable charges.
