Obtain a complete list of TradeNet permit declaration types.
All Customs permit applications must be submitted via TradeNet, accessible through:
- TradeNet front-end solution purchased any approved solution provider; or
- Government Front-End Application
You may:
- Appoint a declaring agent to obtain customs permits on your behalf; or
- Register as a declaring agent and apply for a TradeNet user ID to obtain customs permits for your own shipments or on behalf of your clients
Please refer to Permits, Documentation and Other Fees for more information. Declaring agents may charge additional service fees. You may wish to check with your appointed declaring agent on the charges involved.
TradeNet Unavailability
In the event of an unscheduled TradeNet unavailability announced by Singapore Customs, exporters who are unable to obtain an approved permit may be advised by Singapore Customs to use a Letter of Undertaking for the clearance of their goods. This will be announced via a Customs notice. The exporter will have to obtain a permit within three days from the date TradeNet is restored.
For export, transhipment or bringing in transit of strategic goods under Tier 1 of the Strategic Trade Scheme during an unscheduled TradeNet unavailability, exporters will be informed to use a Letter of Undertaking for strategic goods for clearance of their goods. This will be announce via a Customs notice.
